How do I set Auto Cook Mode on my cooker or Oven?
clock.jpgOn Rangemaster cookers, the auto cook is set by three buttons indicated with three images:

The cooking pot with heat waves rising.
The cooking pot on its own.
The hand Symbol.

If you hold down the cooking pot with heat waves rising and use the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons on your timer, you can specify the cooking period. When you do this, 'Auto' will illuminate on your timer.

Next, you need to specify the completion time. You do this by holding down the button corresponding to the cooking pot on its own. Hold this down and press the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons on your timer to set the completion time. With the completion time set, all you need to do is place your food in the oven and set the temperature.

With auto mode set, the oven will seem unresponsive until the cooking period has started. This is normal, but if you want to revert the oven to Manual for any reason, you will need to hold the button corresponding to the cooking pot with heat waves rising, and reduce the cooking period to zero. Doing so will disable the auto cooking mode.

Additionally, during the cooking period, if you press the hand symbol, it will stop the auto cooking and revert the oven to manual.

Setting the Auto Cook mode for other makes and models of cookers is a similar process, most cookers use consistent symbology to represent the cooking duration, completion and manual functions.
