Why is there smoke from the oven?
foodinoven.jpgIf there is smoke coming from the oven it is generally a spillage that is burning off. If this is the case you should wait for the oven to cool and clean off the spillage from the panels of the oven.

Sometimes when a new element is fitted, the elements come with a protective coating which must 'burn off' before you commence cooking and this can account for your smoke.

There is nothing in the oven that is flammable or that can cause any odours or smoke in normal use and so the cause is generally external in origin.
